Installing Applications

Forma Vision offers many different applications so that anyone can participate in a holographic meeting from any device. A full list of our applications include

Forma Vision for mobile browser (free at live.formavision.io)
Forma Vision for iOS (free on the iOS App Store)
Forma Vision for Meta Quest (free on the Meta Quest Store)
Forma Vision for Magic Leap 2 (free at formavision.io/downloads)
*Forma Studio application for Windows 10, Windows 11, or Ubuntu 20.04 (available at formavision.io/downloads, requires Forma Vision software subscription)

*this application is required to produce a live hologram

Forma Studio Installation

For Windows 10 and Windows 11:

Install and extract contents out of the Forma Studio ZIP file found in your onboarding email
Run Forma Vision installer
Install the recommended Realsense firmware file [download link]
Connect all your cameras to PC via USB cables
Open “Realsense Viewer” application (note: this is an application provided by the camera manufacturer to ensure all cameras are working properly)
Add all camera “Sources” one at a time
For each camera

Click “Update firmware”
Select the installed firmware file from step 4a
Do not close the window or disconnect your camera until you see ""Camera Firmware Updated Successfully"

Launch Forma Vision from your desktop
Enter in license key found in your onboarding email

For Ubuntu 20.04

Open a terminal.
Navigate to the directory <DIR> containing forma-studio_<VERSION>_amd64.deb, using the command cd <DIR>.
Run the command sudo bash ./install_requirements.sh, and enter password when prompted.
Finish installation by rebooting system.
